The Tehama District Fairgrounds hosts over 300 events annually and is currently seeking candidates for both Full-Time and Part-Time/Extra Help Maintenance Worker positions. This role operates under the supervision of the Senior Head of Maintenance. Standard work hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, five days a week; however, weekend and evening shifts may be required during the Fair and special events. The Tehama District Fairgrounds provides onsite equipment certification and training for duties.

As a Maintenance Worker, you will be closely supervised and supported by the Senior Head of Maintenance. Responsibilities encompass general maintenance, landscaping, equipment operation, and janitorial tasks. Each event has unique requirements, resulting in a dynamic and varied workday.

Key responsibilities include:

• Event Set-Up: Arranging tables, chairs, and livestock panels.
• Event Clean-Up: Managing trash collection, cleaning facilities, and clearing stalls.
• General Maintenance: Conducting painting, plumbing, mechanical repairs, carpentry, and more.
• Landscaping: Installing sprinklers, pruning trees, and mowing lawns.
• Equipment Operation: Utilizing forklifts, man lifts, dump trucks, and various power tools.
